Restaurant
The Manse Restaurant at Gleeson's Townhouse offers the pure delights of quality country cooking. The name Manse is a Scottish word meaning 'ministers residence'. In 1863 the Presbyterian Church purchased the building for that purpose. Not long after it was leased to a Catholic priest, the Very Rev. Thomas D. Phillips, who later established a national school for boys at the rear of the Manse in 1881.
We offer a wide selection of dishes, with an Irish and European influence. Our menus offer a choice of locally sourced & organic sustainable food. Set in a relaxing ambience, the restaurant is fully air-conditioned.
From meats, poultry, and fish to farm vegetables and spices, you can be assured that Gleeson's will serve the freshest and best available.
The restaurant & cafe are open to both the public and guests, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. Guests can relax in front of a glorious open fire in Gleeson's reception area, prior to and after dining in The Manse Restaurant.
Lunch is served daily in the restaurant from 12.00pm and a-la-carte menu is available
from 3.00pm.
